Biography
Lana Staheli, PhD is the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Global HELP Organization. She is a certified Counselor, a certified Marriage Therapist, and Consultant on interpersonal relationships and life strategies. She has had a successful private counseling practice for over 30 years. She is listed in Who’s Who Of American Women, World Who’s Who Of Women, and Who’s Who In The West.
Dr. Lana Staheli is author of several relationship books. She has been featured in the Seattle Times, Washington Times, Gannett News, and other syndicated newspapers from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida. She is a contributor to Parent's Magazine, YM, Woman's World, First for Women, Reader's Digest, Cosmopolitan (International and U.S.), and others. Lana has been quoted for online articles for the Washington Post, MSNBC, and ABCNews.com, and has been a guest on Fox After Breakfast, The Maury Povich Show, Good Morning Texas, Town Meeting, KOMO News, AM Northwest, and Northwest Afternoon, plus others, participating in over 100 radio programs worldwide.
Her books include Triangles: Understanding, Preventing, And Surviving An Affair, Affair-Proof Your Marriage, and The Complete Idiot's Guide To Affair-Proof Love. She has answered over 500 questions from her web-site, AskLana.com.
Lana Staheli is Founder (1983) and President of The Rainier Foundation, supporting people who make a difference in their communities. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Women and Democracy (CWD) at the University of Washington (2000), and has established and chaired the Global Networking Program (2000-2003), developing missions to Cuba, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Lana joined Harvard University's Women’s Leadership Board at the Kennedy School of Government in 2002, and received the 2001 Community Stars and Heroes Award from the Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
