Biography

Gaetano Pagnotta was born in Rome, Italy in 1951.

 

Education

Master's degree in Medicine at Rome University La Sapienza, with Laude, 1976.

 

Master's degree in General Orthopaedics at Rome University La Sapienza, with Laude, 1979.

 

Master's degree in Pediatric Orthopaedic at Milan University, with Laude, 1981.

 

Experience

Staff member of the Pediatric Hospital "Bambino Gesù" of Rome, 1980 to present.

 

Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedics at "Sick Children Hospital," Toronto, Canada, 1980.

 

Traveller Fellow in Orthopaedics at "Du Pont Intitute," Wilmington, Delaware, U.S., 1981.

 

Member of Italian Society of Pediatric Orthopaedics (SITOP), 1982.

 

Research Fellow in congenital skeletal deseases at "Hopital des Enfants Malades," Paris, France, 1988.

 

Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at "Princess Margaret Hospital," Edinburgh, Scotland, 1995.

 

Member of European Pediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS), 1998.

 

Secretary-Treasurer of Italian Society of Pediatric Ortopaedics (SITOP), 2000 to present.

 

Free Professor of Pediatric Ortopaedics at "Campus Bio-Medico," University of Rome, 2004.

 

Gaetano is author or co-author of more than 80 scientific papers primarily focusing on pediatric orthopaedics, and is also the Editor of Quaderni Azzurri, a six-monthly review of pediatric orthopaedics.
